From Okinawa to the World

What is important to us is that the leaves and stems of crops that were previously considered worthless and unwanted create new value, which is returned directly to the farmers as a source of income.

By asking farmers to register as cooperating farmers, the project will be developed as ‘producer-visible textiles’.

The apparel production lines, currently 98% of which are manufactured overseas, will be set up in Okinawa Prefecture, thereby increasing employment. We also want to contribute to solving social issues in Okinawa, such as raising the incomes of local residents.

We will then expand the technology from Okinawa to Southeast Asia, where there are common challenges in the production areas. The aim is also to change and revitalise the domestic textile and fashion industry, which is in a difficult situation, from Okinawa.
